NEW YORK- The University of Indianapolis golf teams received national recognition Wednesday, as both were featured in their respective national preseason polls.  The UIndy women will begin their 2010-11 campaign as the 10th-ranked team in the Golf World/NGCA Division II Coaches' Poll, while the Greyhound men debut at No. 18 in the Golf World/Nike Golf D-II Coaches’ Poll.

NORMAN, Okla.–  In an announcement from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Thursday, 2010 All-American Seth Fair was one of just 55 Division II golfers named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar.  It marks the second straight academic recognition from the GCAA for the Brownsburg, Ind. native.

INDIANAPOLIS-  Senior-to-be Blair Webb highlighted an impressive outing for Greyhound golfers at the 2010 Indiana Amateur Championship which completed Friday at the Country Club of Indianapolis.  Webb put together back-to-back subpar rounds to climb the leaderboard and finish in a tie for third, just two shots off the pace set by Ball State's Eric Steger and Austin Peay's Eric Barnes.

INDIANAPOLIS- In an announcement made by the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tuesday, UIndy student-athletes Jessica Canary (women’s basketball), Seth Fair (men’s golf) and Lyndsay McBride (women’s golf) were each named their respective sport’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  Coupled with volleyball player Kyleigh Turner, UIndy boasts four scholar-athletes among the GLVC’s 15 2009-10 award winners, most in the league.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind.-  In the final round of the final tournament of his final year, University of Indianapolis senior Seth Fair tied a course record with a four-under 68 to position himself among the leaders at the NCAA D-II Championships Friday.  Fair sank a birdie putt on the 18th and final hole, lowering his four-round score to +8 to move into fourth place among Division II’s best.

INDIANAPOLIS- University of Indianapolis men’s golfer Seth Fair garnered recognition from the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) as an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 Second Team honoree.  Fair, who owns a 3.63 GPA in accounting, was one of 21 District 5 honorees in the at-large category.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind.- Three UIndy men’s golfers earned Division II PING All-Region accolades from the Gof Coaches Association of America, as senior Seth Fair, junior Blair Webb and sophomore Aaron Monson all received the nod.  A total of 105 players across eight regions -- East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West -- earned all-region honors for 2010.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind.- The Sagamore Club, a Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Noblesville, Ind., will be the site of the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships this week. The University of Indianapolis and the Great Lakes Valley Conference, with assistance from Indiana Sports Corporation and the Hamilton County Convention & Visitors Bureau, will host the four-day championship, starting Tuesday.  UIndy senior Seth Fair will represent UIndy as an individual qualifier.
